Saved for a purpose

Esther 4: 13-17

_“For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance shall arise for the Jews from elsewhere, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows but that you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this and for this very occasion?”_ Esther 4:14
NET

God lifts up people in order for them to also lift others up. He blesses people to become a blessing to others. God doesn’t just bless us for our own sake. Therefore whatever position, gift, talent, potential, or abilities we possess and are endowed with is for the benefits of others, also. God had lifted Esther up to be queen and now it was time for her to use her royal status to amend certain laws against the Jews who were facing severe opposition from Haman. Mordecai revealed that Esther’s ascension to the throne might be for a glorious time as this.

Have you ever wondered why you were not born in the first century or in Abraham’s or Noah’s time? Or even in the days of Jesus Christ. Or in the days of the early Apostles? These people were appointed for such times.

We should understand and appreciate that the era, time or century in which we find ourselves isn’t a mistake. We were not just located within a spermatozoa; but appointed for such a time as this. Therefore as Mordecai told Esther, don’t keep silent on any challenges that bothers you or your family, friends, nation or posterity.

You are not in God’s Kingdom just to enjoy time and exit to heaven. No ! Use your royal status, the graces, gifts, wealth and visions God has given you to impact your world of contact. God used Esther’s position and wisdom to save her people (Jews) from being annihilated. Now is your time. What are you allowing God to use you for in this era? Avail yourself, be willing and faithful; for who knows that you are also in the Kingdom for such a time as this. A time where there is so much resources, technology, challenges, violence but diverse opportunities to impact your generation. Rise up and let’s influence our generation for God’s glory. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always.

  1. I very much appreciated this encouraging post, especially as I have been going through a dark period lately (as you may or may not have noticed in that there hasn’t been much activity on my blog lately). Thanks for the words!
    Shalom! – Yosef
